A Captain D’s restaurant on Savannah Highway in Charleston caught fire early Wednesday morning, prompting a swift response from the St. Andrews Fire Department.
The Incident
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene at 2:10 a.m. after reports of a structure fire. Upon arrival, it was determined that the source of the fire was an air conditioning unit on the roof of the building. The fire department quickly took action and extinguished the flames after securing the power to the building.
No Injuries or Major Damage
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the fire, and the building itself sustained no significant damage. Fire crews were able to contain the fire before it spread beyond the air conditioner unit.
The St. Andrews Fire Department confirmed that the situation was resolved swiftly, ensuring the safety of both the restaurant and nearby structures.
