You can choose one complimentary meal per day until the shutdown ends; simply show your government ID. You can decide whether or not to leave a tip.
“We are pleased to provide this meal to our valuable government workers, keeping our country safe,” the restaurant’s owner stated.
El Jefe stated that it served the special menu during the last government shutdown because it witnessed many military families in need.
