Berkeley County, SC – A driver was killed early Saturday morning while attempting to flee law enforcement, authorities said.
Master Trooper Brandon Bolt of the South Carolina Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred around 12:45 a.m. on Clements Ferry Road near Cainhoy Village Road. The driver ran off the road, striking a utility pole and a tree.
Details surrounding the pursuit and the cause of the crash have not been released. The driver’s identity has not been made public as of Saturday afternoon.
