NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – Police have arrested a 19-year-old suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery and shooting that took place earlier this month.
Incident Details
On August 16, officers with the North Charleston Police Department were called to a local hospital after a man arrived with a gunshot wound.
Investigators later determined the victim had been shot on Alton Street during an attempted armed robbery.
Suspect Arrested
Police announced that Zion Montrell Parmley, 19, was arrested on Wednesday. He is facing multiple charges, including:
Assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature
Armed robbery with a deadly weapon (first degree)
Parmley is currently being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
Ongoing Investigation
Police say the investigation remains active and have not released further details about whether additional suspects are being sought.
