Deputies say a suspect has been apprehended during a reported break-in in Spartanburg County.

Authorities in Spartanburg County say a suspect has been taken into custody following a reported break-in Saturday afternoon.

Deputies Respond to Call

According to the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of Timberlane Road around 1:18 p.m. after receiving a call about a possible break-in.

When officers arrived, they initially found no visible signs of forced entry.

Suspect Found Inside Home

Deputies then contacted someone with a key to unlock the residence. Once inside, they discovered an individual inside the home.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident, officials said.

Suspect to Undergo Medical Evaluation

Authorities reported that the suspect appeared to be under the influence of a substance at the time.

The individual will be transported to a hospital for evaluation before being booked into the county detention center.
