Charleston, South Carolina — According to the St. Andrews Public Service District, a fire broke out Monday evening at the Charleston County landfill on Bees Ferry Road.
According to the early report on the incident, it started with a piece of equipment on the site.
Crews allegedly arrived around 6 p.m. to extinguish the fire, and they remained on scene for about two hours.
This is the second fire at this spot since June, when a massive flame consumed tires, plastic, and metal from the trash.
The fire is still under investigation.
