A serious motorcycle accident happened on College Park Road in Berkeley County, South Carolina. The victim has been identified by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office.
What Happened in the Crash
On Wednesday evening, a 2013 Toyota SUV tried to make a left turn onto Corporate Parkway. At the same time, a motorcyclist riding a 2001 Kawasaki hit the passenger side of the SUV.
Victim Identified
The motorcyclist died at the scene, according to Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway from the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The victim was identified as 25-year-old Andrew Helms from Ladson by Chief Deputy Coroner Kelly Powell.
Investigation Underway
Both the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office are investigating the cause of the crash.
