Charleston Police have scheduled road closures ahead of Sunday's holiday parade

The Charleston Police Department will close roads along the Holiday Parade route in downtown Charleston starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2025, with the parade running from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. beginning on Broad Street near Colonial Lake, turning left onto Meeting Street, and ending at Marion Square.​

Closure Details

Cross traffic remains open until 2:45 p.m., after which the full route shuts down to through traffic; officers assist access to businesses and homes. Additional closures may include Lockwood Boulevard from Montagu to Broad Street at 1:15 p.m., and Broad between Lockwood and Rutledge, with parking prohibited along the route from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and towing enforced.​

Post-Parade Events

A Christmas tree lighting follows in Marion Square. Calhoun Street between Meeting and East Bay may close afterward for participant dispersal.
