Charleston Cougars defeated Northern Kentucky Norse 85-74 in a college basketball game on Sunday in Highland Heights, Kentucky. Jlynn Counter led with 26 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, and three steals for the victorious Cougars (7-6).

Key Performances

Counter dominated the second half with 21 points, fueling a 9-0 run that erased a two-point deficit for a 74-67 lead. Connor Hickman added 16 points on 7-of-13 shooting, while Christian Reeves notched a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Jaxon Prunty contributed 11 points, including 11 in the first half to build a 40-30 halftime edge.

Norse Effort

Northern Kentucky (9-5) got 22 points and nine rebounds from Kael Robinson, 20 points with six boards from Donovan Oday, and 18 points from Dan Gherezgher Jr. Despite strong scoring, the Norse couldn’t overcome Charleston’s late surge.
