Charleston introduces a new retail incubator for small enterprises on King Street.

Charleston, S.C., city officials ribbon-cut Palmetto Row Collectives on Friday, a new retail incubator on King Street to empower budding entrepreneurs with affordable boutique spaces.

Retail Suites

The center features five suites already occupied by local businesses: Daniela De Art 3, The House of Juls, She Biology Skin Care, and The Original Charleo Co. It transforms a vacant storefront into a collaborative hub under the city’s Small Business Enterprise and Entrepreneur Resource Center.

Program Goals

Ruth Jordan, the center’s manager, highlighted its role in providing accessible King Street exposure, business development tools, and a supportive environment for small brands to thrive collaboratively. This initiative removes traditional retail barriers, fostering economic growth in Charleston’s vibrant corridor.
