Jalen Stuckey, a 20-year-old man, faces multiple felony charges including strong-arm robbery, aggravated assault and battery, kidnapping, first-degree burglary, two counts of possession of a firearm during a violent crime, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, unlawful possession of a machine gun, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon following an incident at a Charleston apartment complex.

On Sunday evening around 5:30 p.m., officers responded to the 1900 block of Hazelwood Drive where a woman reported arguing with her boyfriend, Stuckey, who allegedly grabbed her hair to prevent her from leaving, struck her with a gun, and stole her belongings including car keys.

Arrest Details

Stuckey fled into a neighboring apartment without permission; police surrounded it, and he exited via a window. Authorities recovered the victim’s property and found a gun with a machine gun conversion device inside.

Detention

Stuckey was booked into Al Cannon Detention Center. The case highlights domestic violence escalation involving weapons in the Charleston area.
