The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office recently relocated a Narcan (naloxone) distribution box from James Island Town Hall to the East Cooper Community Outreach Center at 1145 Six Mile Road in Mount Pleasant. This move, announced on Thursday, is not linked to any detected overdose spike via their mapping system.

Narcan, the brand name for naloxone, is an over-the-counter nasal spray that quickly reverses opioid overdose symptoms by restoring breathing.​
