North Charleston, South Carolina – The Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) will provide free bus trips to the polls tomorrow for Election Day.
According to CARTA, this effort assures that citizens may easily and effectively access voting locations.
“Turning out at the polls on Election Day is one of our most important civic duties, and we’re pleased to play a small role in assisting people in getting there,” said Mike Seekings, CARTA Board of Directors Chair. “I encourage folks to get out and vote on Tuesday, and to use CARTA to get there – free of charge.”
To enjoy the free trip, riders must inform their drivers that they are going to or from their voting places.
Riders can discover their polling site at scvotes.gov. The CARTA system maps are available at ridecarta.com.
