CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Ashley River Bridge, which connects West Ashley to downtown Charleston, is closed in one direction as of Sunday afternoon due to a maintenance issue. The Charleston Police Department has confirmed that the bridge is closed to traffic traveling from downtown Charleston into West Ashley.
