On Saturday, December 6, 2025, at noon, North Charleston police stopped a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Brandon Rivers from Berkeley County near Ashley Phosphate Road and Mazyck Road for illegal window tint.​
Search and Discoveries
Officers detected marijuana odor, leading to a search that uncovered a loaded gun in the glove compartment and a substance testing positive for cocaine. As a convicted felon, Rivers is prohibited from possessing firearms.​
Charges and Detention
Rivers faces charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, then was booked into Al Cannon Detention Center.
