Anderson County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Amanda G. Lee, the girlfriend of 41-year-old Edwin Larry Burns, Jr., following a fatal stabbing on January 6 at a home on Sherwood Drive in Belton, S.C. Deputies found Burns dead at the scene from multiple stab wounds and Lee injured from self-inflicted stabs, then transported her to Prisma Greenville for treatment. She was charged with murder and booked into Anderson County Detention Center upon release on January 17, with a court appearance scheduled for January 18.

Incident Overview

The call stemmed from a welfare check, revealing both victims stabbed inside their shared residence. Authorities determined Lee stabbed Burns before injuring herself during their investigation.

Lee faces murder charges as the primary suspect in this domestic incident. No further community threats were noted, and the case remains active.
