North Charleston, South Carolina. The North Charleston Police Department arrested a lady after a domestic violence incident with a pistol.
Belgica Adegbola, 31, was charged with first-degree criminal domestic violence, according to police.
Officers were summoned just before 9 a.m. to a home on Montview Road after receiving reports of the suspect and her estranged husband arguing, during which Adegbola allegedly threatened him with a gun. Police claim the spouse fled home with his children before officers arrived.
Officers discovered that Adegbola had left the gun downstairs and gone to a bedroom above. She was securely taken into custody following a negotiation with cops.
North Charleston police requested the public to avoid certain areas of the city on Friday morning due to an active investigation.
Adegbola is being housed in the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center.
A mugshot of Adegbola was not immediately available.
