Florence, South Carolina — The Florence Police Department (FPD) detained a teenager for allegedly participating in a shooting early Saturday morning.
The 15-year-old was charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon, shooting into a residence, and malicious injury to property.
According to Captain Stephen Starling, gunfire struck multiple vehicles and structures on W Evans St. while police were already on the scene attempting to evacuate the throng.
According to FPD, during the chase, the boy ran away and threw his weapon.
According to authorities, the shooting resulted from a verbal altercation.
Currently, no victims have been recorded.
