A stabbing occurred in the Dorchester Road apartment dispute, and a woman from North Charleston was arrested

North Charleston police have arrested 31‑year‑old Sasha Mikayla Moultrie on a charge of first‑degree domestic violence after she allegedly stabbed a fellow resident during a dispute at the Silvana Oaks Apartments on Dorchester Road.

Timeline of the incident

  • Officers first responded around 11 a.m. to a verbal altercation between two residents at 8439 Dorchester Road.
  • Moultrie asked police to remove the other person from the apartment, but officers were unable to do so because the other party was also a resident; at that time, Moultrie reportedly threatened to harm or kill the victim, but officers did not immediately treat the threat as credible.

Stabbing and arrest

  • About an hour later, officers were called back to the same apartment for a reported stabbing involving the same victim.
  • When officers arrived, the victim had already been stabbed and was given emergency aid before being taken by EMS to a nearby hospital; Moultrie had left the scene but later agreed to return and was arrested and booked into the Dorchester County Detention Center.
  • Police did not immediately release the victim’s condition following the stabbing.
