Ladson, South Carolina – A slight tremor was reported early Friday morning in the Ladson region; you most likely did not feel it.
At 5:49 a.m., the US Geological Survey determined that a 1.9 magnitude earthquake struck approximately 4.1 miles south-southwest of Ladson.
This is the second low-end earthquake detected in the area this month. The USGS also detected a tiny 1.7 magnitude earthquake near Centerville on the night of November 9.
Small earthquakes occur frequently in the Ladson area.
