A man is detained by police in relation to a murder in North Charleston.

North Charleston Police arrested Keith Gregory, 56, for the murder of Raymond Prince, 53, on December 17, 2025. The incident occurred around 6 a.m. on the 2300 block of Elder Avenue, where Prince was found unresponsive after an assault near a vacant home.​

Incident Details

Prince was discovered near James Bell Drive following reports of screams and possible shots, as captured in 911 calls describing a chaotic scene. The Charleston County Chief Deputy Coroner confirmed his death at the location.​

Arrest and Charges

Gregory was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center on January 14 or 15, 2026, facing a murder charge tied to the ongoing investigation. No initial arrests were made at the scene nearly a month earlier.​
