Two men from Goose Creek were arrested in North Charleston after an armed robbery and shooting at an Airbnb party early Saturday morning. No injuries were reported to the victim, who had two handguns stolen from him.​

Incident Overview

At around 1:25 a.m. near Lambert and Bexley streets, an officer noticed heavy traffic tied to the party on Bexley Street. The officer heard a gunshot, saw a suspect flee, then stopped a speeding vehicle heading to Spruill Avenue containing driver Christopher Jack-Lewis Hodge, 20, and passenger Syrus Eddie James Gadsden, 20.​

Suspects admitted to a firearm in the glove compartment; police recovered three handguns—two on the rear floorboard, one in the glove box. The victim reported two men approached him outside, one taking a gun from his coveralls while the other grabbed another and fired once before fleeing.​

Charges Filed

  • Hodge: Armed robbery, attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
  • Gadsden: Armed robbery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Both were booked into Al Cannon Detention Center following the investigation.
