Three people were injured after a car collided with a log truck on Charleston Highway

Colleton County, South Carolina – Three persons were hurt on Friday when their automobile collided with a log truck on Charleston Highway.

According to Colleton County Fire Rescue, a passenger in the Lexus became stuck in the wreckage and had to be extricated using special techniques.

A man and woman were rushed to the Medical University of South Carolina’s trauma center for treatment. The log truck driver had non-life-threatening injuries and was sent to a local hospital.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
