Authorities in North Charleston, South Carolina, say three people are facing dozens of charges after a drug and weapons raid at a local motel earlier this month.
The Arrests
On August 4, officers from the North Charleston Police Narcotics Unit and the Intelligence Led Policing Unit executed a search warrant at the North Charleston Lodge on Ashley Phosphate Road.
The suspects were identified as:
Lushwanna Gathers-Drayton, 22
Jerome Simmons Jr., 37
Glenn Jerome Ferguson, 48
Together, the three face more than 50 charges, according to jail records.
Items Seized
During the search, investigators recovered:
Cocaine base, cocaine, methamphetamine, ecstasy, and fentanyl
Three firearms
Rifle magazines with ammunition
Digital scale and drug-related paraphernalia
Police Chief Ron Camacho praised the operation, calling it part of a broader effort to combat narcotics and weapons trafficking.
“This operation reflects our department’s ongoing commitment to proactively identifying and disrupting illegal drug and gun activity in our community. We will continue to pursue those who endanger public safety.”
Current Status
All three suspects were booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center, where they remain in custody as of the latest update.
