The Saltwater Cowboys will be temporarily closed for "major" refurbishment.

Saltwater Cowboys, a favored waterfront restaurant and bar on Shem Creek in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, will temporarily close from January 5 to January 12, 2026, for major renovations. The upgrades include refreshed dining room and bar areas, new tables and chairs, updated colors, and an overall new design, with kitchen improvements also planned.

Access During Closure

The Wagon at the Mill Street entrance stays open for to-go orders, supporting delivery and pickup options. Delivery services like Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub continue operating from Saltwater Cowboys throughout the period.

Reopening Plans

Owners anticipate welcoming diners back on January 13, 2026, maintaining the venue’s signature seafood, drinks, and creek views that define its local appeal. This brief refresh aims to enhance the guest experience without disrupting the restaurant’s core atmosphere.
