The man who impersonated an officer in the famous Sullivan's Island video was sentenced

Charleston, South Carolina – A man arrested in connection with a viral video from earlier this year will not face a jail sentence for impersonating a law enforcement official.

Sean Michael Johnson, 34, was sentenced to three years probation and 200 hours of community service at Seacoast Church, court documents show. Johnson was charged with impersonating a law enforcement official and breach of peace after a video surfaced showing him arguing with a driver on Sullivan’s Island.

The footage shows Johnson asking the driver whether he is from Mexico and informing him he is returning. Johnson is also seen removing the keys from the vehicle’s ignition, claiming that the driver does not have a license and cannot drive.
