Charleston County, South Carolina – The Charleston County Coroner’s Office said that a 23-year-old male died Thursday after being hurt in an accident on Wadmalaw Island.
Jonathan Marchant died on the scene about 1:15 a.m. after veering off the road and colliding with a tree near Maybank Highway and Oak Grove Road.
Marchant was the only one in the automobile when the accident occurred.
Deputies from the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office responded and are investigating the crash.
