Authorities have identified the motorcyclist killed in an early morning crash on Interstate 26 in Charleston.
Victim Identified
According to Charleston County Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal, the victim has been identified as 38-year-old Arthur Houston of Charleston. Houston died at the scene from injuries sustained in the collision.
Crash Details
The accident occurred around 1:32 a.m. Monday in the westbound lanes near mile marker 218.
Investigators with the Charleston Police Department determined that:
Houston failed to negotiate a curve on the roadway.
His motorcycle struck a guardrail.
Speed was a contributing factor in the crash.
