Shooting Reported at Krispy Kreme
According to the North Charleston Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire at a Krispy Kreme on Thursday evening. The call brought police to the scene after multiple reports of shots being fired in the area.
At nearly the same time, the Summerville Police Department came across a vehicle with visible bullet holes. The driver of that vehicle told officers that the shooting had taken place at the nearby Krispy Kreme location, connecting both incidents.
What Police Found at the Scene
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered clear signs that a shooting had occurred. The parking lot had multiple shell casings scattered around, along with broken glass, indicating that shots had been fired in the area.
Employees at the location shared that one of their coworkers had been targeted while leaving work. However, the individual had already left the scene by the time police arrived. Despite the seriousness of the situation, it was later confirmed that no one was injured.
