The initial event registered 3.2 magnitude at a very shallow depth of 2 km, centered 4.6 miles south-southwest of Ladson, 6.7 miles west of Hanahan, and 7 miles south-southeast of Summerville.​

Minutes later, a 2.9 magnitude aftershock occurred at 5 km depth, 3.7 miles south-southeast of Centerville, 3.9 miles southwest of Ladson, and 5.3 miles south-southeast of Summerville.

These align with prior USGS revisions from a single event and follow a 2.3 magnitude quake near Ladson on February 3; no damage was reported amid the local seismic activity.
