A fatal crash occurred on Saturday afternoon around 3:00 p.m. on US 17 Alternate in Berkeley County, South Carolina, near Old Cherry Hill Lane. According to Sgt. Tyler Tidwell with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a Toyota Rav 4, traveling southbound, collided with a northbound Nissan Frontier.
Fatalities and Injuries
The driver of the Toyota Rav 4, identified as 44-year-old Jennifer Dangerfield of Bonneau, was killed in the crash. A passenger in the Toyota was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries. The condition of the occupants in the Nissan Frontier has not yet been disclosed.
Investigation Ongoing
The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office confirmed Dangerfield’s identity, and the South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
