A Charleston man, Joseph Richard Coreno, 47, was arrested Wednesday night in North Charleston, S.C., after police found him with a stolen vehicle containing fentanyl and cocaine base.

Incident Details

Officers spotted the vehicle via city cameras near Rivers Avenue and Sabal Road around 8:30 p.m., then at a gas station in the 5200 block of Rivers Avenue. Coreno fled toward a building and roadway but was stopped with a Taser before reaching traffic.

Charges and Custody

He faced charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, fentanyl, and cocaine base, then was booked into Al Cannon Detention Center. This follows similar recent drug and theft arrests in the area.
