One person died and one was injured after a truck collided with a tree along College Park Road late Friday.

Thomas Dylan Prince, a 30-year-old Summerville resident, died as a passenger in a single-vehicle crash on February 13, 2026, in Berkeley County, S.C. The 2021 Ford pickup he was riding in veered off College Park Road around 11:40 p.m., striking a tree.

Crash Details

South Carolina Highway Patrol Cpl. Nick Pye reported the truck was heading west near Andrews Boulevard when it left the roadway. The unidentified driver was hospitalized with injuries, while Prince succumbed at the scene.​

Berkeley County Coroner Darnell Hartwell confirmed Prince’s identity and cause of death as injuries from the impact. The Highway Patrol continues investigating; this incident on College Park Road follows recent local events there, including William Ford’s arrest nearby.
