North Charleston, South Carolina – North Charleston police detained a guy in connection with two Rivers Avenue burglaries.

Officers responded to an alarm at KC Mulligans on October 6, and discovered a back door open with the deadbolt still extended.

The business owners complained that money had been stolen.

Three days later, on June 9, North Charleston officers were summoned to Brecks Steakhouse in an adjacent strip mall after another alarm was activated.

“They found a glass door broken and cash missing from the premises,” the insurance company reported.

Illya Wright, 48, was arrested on October 8 following an inquiry into both instances. He was charged with two charges of second-degree burglary and detained at the Charleston County Detention Center.
