Charleston, South Carolina – Charleston Police are sharing information on a home invasion downtown that left both suspects injured.

Keon Taye Haynes, 26, of Charleston, and Christopher Lorenzo Connor, 21, of Charleston, were both detained after being discovered injured inside a home, according to police.

Haynes is charged with armed robbery with a deadly weapon, assault and violence in the first degree, and first-degree burglary.

Connor faces charges of armed robbery, assault and battery in the first degree, burglary in the first degree, and possession of a firearm while conducting a violent felony.

Officers said these charges stem from a Sunday incident in which officers responded to a report of a shooting inside a home on South Enston Avenue.

Around midday, officers arrived on the scene and discovered one suspect inside the house with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the arm. A second suspect was discovered with a stab wound to the neck in a residence on Doscher Avenue. Both were hospitalized.

Detectives believe Haynes and Connor forced their way into the residence to try a robbery, but the individuals inside disarmed and wounded both men. One of the residents reported getting injured by a bullet while disarming one of the home invaders.

Early investigations led authorities to suspect Haynes and Connor knew the victims. At the time of the occurrence, Haynes was already under the supervision of the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole, and Pardon.

Both men have been released from the hospital and were lodged Monday night into the Al Cannon Detention Center, where they were previously held for a bond hearing.
