A recent conversation on social media has centered on the timing for acquiring a South Carolina driver’s license in the mail. One user has been waiting for more than 20 days and is seeking feedback from others on their experiences. The user is particularly interested in hearing from Berkeley County residents and seeking assistance on how to obtain more thorough information from the DMV.
Answers from Social Media
The Reddit conversation has elicited a number of answers. One user questioned the process, claiming that their license was printed and presented to them immediately after their photo was taken.
However, most users reported receiving their licenses in the mail within a week or week and a half. One user recounted their experience with updating their address and buying a new license online, which they received fast in early November after ordering on October 22nd. They also mentioned that the new license design is considerably different from the previous one.
Another customer reported getting their Real ID and new disability placard within a week. Despite these experiences, it is unclear why the original poster’s license is taking longer than usual to come.
