Four people were detained after hidden cameras were discovered in a woman's home.

A Charleston woman reportedly found multiple hidden cameras secretly recording her in and around her home, and authorities allege her ex-husband and three others were responsible. The devices were discovered behind her couch, on a balcony pointed toward her bedroom, and even attached to a truck, according to local reporting.

Allegations and Charges

Police say Adam Midgett, who works as a school security coordinator and part-time officer, allegedly coordinated with his mother, sister, and a family friend to install the cameras. He has been placed on unpaid leave from his job, and all four individuals are charged with voyeurism and are currently being held at the Charleston County Jail.

Privacy and Safety Context

The case highlights how hidden surveillance technology can be misused to violate privacy both inside and outside a residence. In similar situations, victims typically work with law enforcement to document devices, preserve evidence, and seek protective orders where appropriate, especially when the alleged offender is a former partner or someone with security training.
