Johns Island, South Carolina The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has identified the man shot and killed during an argument on Johns Island on Wednesday.
Remus J. Frazier, 36, of Johns Island, died at the scene of a gunshot wound around 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday.
Charleston police were dispatched to a home on Jules Drive around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. When they arrived, they discovered a man named Frazier dead in the front yard, as well as another individual with many gunshot wounds, according to the police department.
The injured person was sent to a neighbouring hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators suspect many guys were present at the home when an argument erupted. During the argument, Frazier fled, but allegedly returned later wearing a mask and brandishing a revolver.
A scuffle broke out, and someone attempted to take the pistol away. During the effort, the individual was shot numerous times. Another individual, a relative of the deceased, shot and killed Frazier.
When officers came, they spoke with the guy who shot Frazier, who remained on the scene and informed them what had occurred. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
An investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been brought at this point.
