Charleston Police Department announced a second arrest in the December 10, 2025, fatal shooting of 17-year-old Luis Garcia-Galvez on Ashley Avenue.
Incident Details
The shooting occurred around 6:45 p.m. when officers found Garcia-Galvez deceased at the scene. Investigation revealed he drove downtown to meet two related suspects who attempted to rob him at gunpoint, leading to the shooting.
Arrests and Charges
A 17-year-old was arrested on December 17, followed by a 16-year-old on December 22, with assistance from U.S. Marshals, North Charleston PD, and Charleston County Sheriff’s Office. Both juveniles face charges of murder, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm during a violent crime, and are held at the Department of Juvenile Justice.
