CHARLESTON, S.C. – A man was arrested on Saturday night after crashing his Chevrolet Camaro into a boutique located inside the Charleston Place Hotel on Meeting Street.
Incident Details
The incident occurred shortly before 11 p.m. when officers from the Charleston Police Department were called to the Chicos store, which is situated inside the Charleston Place Hotel.
Upon investigation, it was found that the driver had veered off the road, driven across the sidewalk, and crashed into the glass windows of the store. The vehicle came to a halt approximately five feet inside the business.
Arrest and Charges
The driver, Zion Reynolds, aged 20, from North Charleston, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence (DUI). Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved in the crash, and there were no reports of any injuries.
