Charges have been dismissed against a Summerville woman who was previously accused of encouraging students to participate in a school walkout protest.
Charges Stemmed From Alleged Online Activity
Dinah Chollet, 44, was charged in February with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The charge was linked to her alleged involvement in an online conversation with students planning an anti-ICE protest at Summerville High School.
According to authorities, Chollet entered an Instagram group chat using the name of The Knot Burger Pub and communicated with students organizing the walkout. Investigators said she expressed support for the planned protest during those exchanges.
Case Dismissed by Judge
Summerville Police confirmed that a Dorchester County judge has since dismissed the charges related to the incident.
No further details were provided about the reasoning behind the dismissal.
Outcome
With the charges now dropped, the case against Chollet has been formally closed.
