Charleston County, South Carolina – Charleston County law enforcement officials are anticipated to announce numerous arrests in connection with an undercover operation targeting predators on social media platforms.
The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office and the South Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force undertook ‘Operation Online Guardian’ in May, resulting in multiple arrests in the tri-county area over the next six months.
During a multi-agency press conference scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, investigators will go over the charges and identify the accused predators seized during the operation.
Law enforcement authorities will also explain the collaborative effort that goes into combating cyber crime.
