After a victim was robbed behind a North Charleston gas station, a man was apprehended and charged

North Charleston Police have arrested and charged one of two suspects in the robbery of a man behind a gas station in North Charleston on Saturday.

Johnathan Cochran, 57, was arrested and charged with strong-arm robbery, according to the incident report.

Officers were dispatched around 8 a.m. to a Sunoco on Rivers Avenue and met with a man who claimed he was lying down behind the store and had been robbed by two people.

Security camera footage captured the strong-arm robbery, and officers began patrolling the area.

Officers patrolled a nearby motel and found a man who matched the victim’s description.

Cochran was transferred to the Charleston County Jail.

The other suspect has not been located.
