Ashley River Road in West Ashley, S.C., has partially reopened after a power outage disrupted traffic. The Charleston Police Department closed the stretch between Wallace School Road and Sam Rittenberg Boulevard due to affected traffic lights.​
Incident Details
Southbound traffic was rerouted onto Wallace School Road, while northbound traffic continued on Sam Rittenberg Boulevard. Dominion Energy crews addressed the outage on scene.​
Current Status
The road is now back open following the brief closure on January 11, 2026. No cause for the outage has been identified.
