According to the Mount Pleasant Police Department, traffic safety activities will take place on Thursday and Friday.

Mount Pleasant Police Department plans traffic safety checkpoints Thursday and Friday nights to enforce laws and boost roadway safety.

Thursday Locations

Checkpoints start between 10 p.m. and midnight at SC-517 near Riviera Drive, Rifle Range Road near Myrick Road, and Coleman Boulevard near Erckmann Drive.

Friday Locations

Operations continue similarly at Park West Boulevard near Thomas Cario Boulevard, Long Point Road near Bell Pointe Drive, and West Coleman Boulevard near Patriots Point Road.

Purpose

The MPPD Traffic Unit targets high-risk areas amid the user’s interest in local South Carolina enforcement, aligning with routine efforts to curb violations during peak evening hours.
