Deputies first responded to shots fired around 9 p.m. on February 10 in the 2900 block of Edenborough Road but found no suspect after searching. The same caller reported the suspect’s return just after 3 a.m.; en route, deputies spotted his vehicle at Maybank and River Roads, initiating a chase ending at Edenborough Road and Caroline Lane where he fled on foot and fired at them.
Outcome and Investigation
The deputy received on-scene medical care and was released unharmed; involved deputies are on paid administrative leave per protocol.
