A troubling incident in Florida has led to multiple charges after a young woman allegedly attacked two elderly women in a store parking lot. Authorities say the situation escalated without warning and involved both violence and resistance during arrest.

Woman Arrested After Parking Lot Attack

According to the Panama City Beach Police Department, 25-year-old Allie Grace Barrentine has been arrested and charged with two counts of battery on persons aged 65 or older. She also faces charges of resisting an officer without violence and disorderly conduct.

The incident happened Monday evening at a Walmart Supercenter parking lot on Panama City Beach Parkway.

Alleged Attack on Elderly Victims

Police said Barrentine was walking through the parking lot when she encountered a vehicle carrying two elderly women. Without any clear reason mentioned in the report, she allegedly began punching the vehicle.

When the women got out of the car, the situation turned violent. Authorities say Barrentine grabbed one woman’s arm, broke her bracelet, and pulled her by her necklace. The victim was around 69 years old.

In a second incident involving the other woman, who is about 65 years old, Barrentine allegedly grabbed her by the throat, scratched her face, and punched her in the eye. Officers noted visible injuries, including redness and swelling.

Condition of the Suspect

When police arrived at the scene, they reported that Barrentine appeared heavily intoxicated. Officers said she smelled strongly of alcohol, had slurred speech, and was unsteady on her feet. She also admitted to consuming alcohol and cannabis.

Resistance During Arrest

Police said Barrentine did not cooperate during her arrest. She reportedly argued with officers, refused to follow instructions, and attempted to pull away multiple times.

Even after being restrained, she allegedly managed to loosen her cuffs and continued resisting, forcing officers to use additional restraints to secure her.

Charges and Custody Details

Allie Grace Barrentine was taken into custody and booked at the Bay County Jail with a combined bond of $21,000. She is scheduled to appear in court on April 20 for her arraignment.
