A argument between two Marshalls customers turned violent.

Amber Johnson, 25, was arrested after allegedly purchasing a set of knives at a Marshalls in Kearny, New Jersey, then using one to attack another lady in the parking lot on October 11, according to ABC 7 and Cleveland 19.

Johnson allegedly threatened the woman with physical harm because she was taking too long at the checkout desk. She then allegedly bought the blades and chased the other woman around the parking lot as she walked to her car with her family. According to Kearny Police, Johnson stabbed her multiple times.

According to ABC 7 and Cleveland 19, Johnson was found hiding in the Marshalls toilet following the alleged incident, and a bloodied knife was discovered on a nearby changing station.

Johnson faces many charges, including aggravated assault, according to the sources, who said that the injured shopper was rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The situation is being investigated.

On Saturday, October 18, PEOPLE contacted the Kearny Police Department and Marshalls for comment, but did not receive an instant answer.

In a statement to ABC 7, a Marshalls spokeswoman stated they “are aware of the incident that occurred in the parking lot outside of our store last week.”

“At Marshalls, the safety and security of our Associates and customers is important to us, and we’re grateful for the swift response of the Kearny Police Department,” a company spokeswoman said.
