In Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, a 13-year-old boy returned home from school on November 25 to find his mother, Violette Pierre, fatally stabbed and lying on the bathroom floor covered in blood. Her husband, Rocheny Clerge, the alleged attacker, had also inflicted a severe throat wound on himself but survived. Clerge was found bleeding heavily on top of Pierre’s body; officers intervened and performed lifesaving measures.
The boy ran to a neighbor for help, reporting frequent arguments between his parents and that Pierre had threatened to leave Clerge the day before. Security footage corroborates the timeline, showing the son leaving for school and returning to this tragic scene in the afternoon. An uncle is also seen taking Pierre’s other two children to school during the morning conflict.
Clerge was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and possession of an instrument of a crime. He is held without bond, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 23. This case deeply underscores the devastating impacts of domestic violence within families and tragic consequences when conflicts escalate to fatal violence.
