Horry County, South Carolina — A man was detained on narcotics charges following a traffic stop last week.
According to booking records, Daniel Damarcus Robinson Jr., 28, of Dillon, was charged with possession of firearms and ammunition, manufacturing/possession of sch. I, II, III or flunitrazepam or analogue, trafficking in ice, crack (28g or more but less than 100g), two counts of trafficking in cocaine (28g or more but less than 100g), trafficking in cocaine (200g or more but less than 400g), failure to stop for blue lights, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
According to arrest warrants, authorities sought to conduct a traffic stop on October 3 in the Myrtle Beach area of Horry County owing to an illegal lane change and a cracked windshield.
According to warrants, Robinson Jr. continued to drive past all “safe locations” until he crossed the Intracoastal Waterway and attempted to throw an Air Jordan bag over the railing and into the water.
Warrants indicate that the bag contained the following:
Approximately 585.7 grams of methamphetamine
203 grams of cocaine.
31 grams of crack.
119 grams of marijuana.
Taurus 9mm Handgun
After researching his criminal history, police discovered that he had been convicted of a felony.
Robinson Jr. is being held in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center with no bail set.
